End notes.         Chapter one        Background to the study  The Deeper Life Bible Church, Awka Region is a branch of the growing congregation of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Lagos.  The Church started as a Bible Study group spear headed by Pastor Emmanuel Ogbodo. He was the First State Overseer in Anambra state.* The Church started at St. Paul’s University, Awka. Then they moved to the Holy Ghost Ministry. They had to vacate the Holy Ghost Ministry due to some misunderstanding between them and the denomination. Then they moved to Timber Shield, the Timber Shield was a thatched house, that was where they held their services.   In 1987, the Present Region Headquarters was bought along the Expressway. It was said that they bought small portion of land , and they built their Church. But because of their growing numbers, they had to buy the entire land, Which is quite large to accommodate the growing Congregation.   In 1989, they held their first Retreat there, Retreat is a bi-periodic program in Deeper Life Bible Church, it is held on April(Easter) and December (Christmas). Since the inception of The Deeper Christian Life Ministry in Anambra as a whole, the Ministry has grown into Anambra state1 and Anambra state 2. Awka Region is Anambra state 2. And the Anambra state 2 has grown into different Groups, Districts and Locations.      Statement of the problem  The problem that this study addresses is the moral depravity and decadence in the society of today. The Study of The Prestigious Deeper Life Bible Church in Awka seeks to address the wrong in the society.   It also seeks to affect not only the Church and Society, but also the Department of History and International studies.  In conclusion, to proffer solution to this problem, I will be using Qualitative and Quantitative research methods. I will be interviewing both members and non-members of The Deeper Christian Life Ministry on how this Ministry has impacted or better still affected their life.        Purpose of the Study  This Project helps us to understand the impact of the Ministry in the society, how the church has made a significant change since it’s inception in Awka till this moment.  This Project shows us the humble beginning of not only the Awka Region, but also how Deeper Christian Life Ministry emerged and has become one of the largest congregation in the world.   Finally, this project serves as a solution to the moral depravity in our world today.       Significance of the Study. The significance of the Study on The Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Awka Region is two-fold. First, it aims to provide an in-depth analysis of the ministry’s current organizational structure, leadership practices and program effectiveness.  Secondly, This study holds broader significance for the religious community in Awka. Through interviews the research will shed light on the Spiritual and social impact of the ministry within the community. The findings will help identify ways in which the Ministry can better engage with the local community, foster positive relationships and address the Specific needs of its members.  In conclusion, the study’s result will give the members of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Awka a glimpse of the beginning of the Church. Academically, it will serve as a valuable reference for future researchers, students and scholars interested in understanding the dynamics of religious institutions, their management practices and their influence on the communities they serve.            Scope of the Study  The scope of this research is to give an insight of the growth of Deeper Christian Life Ministry in Awka. It also wants to investigate the spread of the Ministry into different regions, groups and districts. It also seeks to find out the challenges and also the impact of the Ministry in today’s world.   The scope in general seeks to investigate the emergence of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry in Awka, Anambra state.  Methodology and Sources of Data To achieve the objectives of this research, time has been given to the intensive study and research such as Journal articles, books, also oral interviews of both members and non-members of the Ministry. Also I seek to to use resources from the Church’s admin which will be extremely relevant in carrying out the research. There will also be the use of YouTube videos, reports and also pictures will be taken for the success of the project.            Literature review p Alan Isaacson, Deeper Life: Extraordinary Growth of the Deeper Life Bible Church. The book speaks expressly about the various thorough interviews he had with various members of The Deeper Life Bible Church. In different states in Nigeria.  The book is a great help teaching and exploring how the Deeper Christian Life Ministry started at Flat 2 in University of Lagos. It spoke about the sporadic growth and how the Ministry has changed the Lives of People.  Kumuyi: Defender of the Faith, Banji Ojewale, Segun Babatope et al. This book speaks about the Founder of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry. His Early years and beginning of his Faith in Christ. The book started with the plethora of miracles that God did through Pastor Kumuyi. Then progressed to his humble background. The book went through the rigors of explaining how this Man of God established his Church. It also gave an insight on how to live a deeper Christian Life in today’s world.        ORGANIZATION OF THE STUDY  This research is set to reveal the birth of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry into existence by the pioneering founder Pastor Dr. Williams Folorunsho Kumuyi. It wants to uncover how The DCLM grew and expanded to where it is today.  The project systematically discusses the Early growth of DCLM, Awka. It speaks expressly on the growth of the Ministry in Awka.   It also talks about the establishment of Regions, Groups and District. It seeks to give an elaborate knowledge on the organization of The Deeper Life Bible Church and also hierarchical structure in the Church.
